A unique opportunity has arisen to step into the role of Clinical Nurse Educator specialising in neonatal nursing to support the Special Care Nursery at a private hospital in Western Sydney. It is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the hospital.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering high-quality, evidence-based training and support to the staff in the Special Care Nursery;
* Developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs across the facility;
* Providing valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process;
* Carrying out team leader duties on shift;
* Delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to neonates and their families.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse;
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in neonatal nursing;
* Post graduate qualification in specialty area desirable;
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable;
* Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional;
* Team leading experience;
* Possess excellent time management skills and well developed clinical problem-solving skills;
* A passion for mentoring team members and positively influencing their performance.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Western Sydney, is a modern facility with 12 Operating Theatres and two Cardiac Cath labs. The hospital performs a full range of elective surgeries, including cardiac, neurosurgery, urology, orthopaedic, gynaecology, colorectal, general, plastics, obstetrics, Paediatric, ENT, and Spinal Surgery. The 16-bed ICU provides specialised care for patients who require constant monitoring, intensive nursing care and advanced respiratory, cardiac and renal support therapies.
