RedHat OpenShift Administrator– (Australian Citizens Only)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension Up to a maximum of 24 Months)
Location: Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney (Hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced RedHat OpenShift Administrator for a long-term contract with one of our Federal Government Clients.
Required Skills
* At least 5+ years of experience in system administering, OpenShift/Kubernetes cluster administration.
* Demonstrated continuous professional experience of at least 5+ years in a large scale ICT environment, and additionally 3+ years in a large scale kubernetes environment is a suitable alternative.
* Extensive experience in Kubernetes administration, networking, security, storage, and troubleshooting within containerised environments.
* Experience in a government or highly regulated environment, with demonstrated compliance to standards such as the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential 8
* Candidate must have Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certification, or a willingness to obtain these certifications within the first 3-6 months of employment.
* Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field highly desirable.
* Certifications in Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud ), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or a willingness to obtain these certifications within the first 3-6 months of employment.
* Experience and knowledge across a breadth of ICT technologies or methodologies is highly desirable, these include: Kubernetes, Ansible, Helm, Python & Bash, CI/CD Pipelines, Git, Linux
Responsibilities
* Designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting OpenShift or other Kubernetes clusters in enterprise environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.
* Assist developers in automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerised applications using OpenShift, utilising our GitOps platform and CI/CD pipelines for efficient service delivery.
* Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm to support scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure .
* Ensure the security of OpenShift environments by implementing best practices, including vulnerability scanning, network segmentation, and role-based access control.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and best practices, and actively share knowledge with the team.

* Candidates must be an Australian Citizen.
* Candidates should be able to get NV1 Security Clearance
Special Conditions
* Working from home arrangements will be considered in the provision of these services. Contractors must work from the specified office location for a minimum of 6 weeks before a WFHA will be considered .
