Retail Operations Manger - Floristry
to lead, train, and inspire our team.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing creativity with operations. You'll be at the centre of our floristry floor—ensuring smooth workflows, coaching the team, and keeping quality and efficiency high, especially during peak periods (Valentine's, Mother's Day, Christmas).
Your week will include:
* Leading and mentoring a small team of florists (delegating, coaching, motivating)
* Overseeing daily order production and ensuring KPI/quality standards are met
* Training and upskilling new and existing team members (in partnership with our Floristry Trainer)
* Roster planning and workflow management
* Jumping in hands-on to create consistent, beautiful arrangements
* Supporting inventory flow and big event day planning
* Driving a positive, fun, and high-performing team culture
About you:
We're looking for someone who is both creative and organised - comfortable with beautiful stock and people, but also with processes and planning
You'll bring:
* Floristry expertise (Cert III or 3+ years in fast-paced floristry) OR transferable leadership from retail/hospitality with a willingness to learn floristry
* Proven leadership experience (training, supervising, or managing a team)
* Strong communication and delegation skills
* Ability to juggle priorities and stay calm under pressure
* Confidence with tech (Google Workspace, iPads, rostering systems)
* A positive, can-do approach—ready to step in and make things happen
* Innovation and problem solving skills - you'll have a voice and impact
Bonus Points For:
* Experience in small to medium business environments (especially start-ups)
* Prior experience in training staff, especially in floristry
* Background and love for positive, team-supportive leadership and management
