Genus is seeking a Data & Integration Specialist with strong full‐stack development capability to design, build, and support integrations and data pipelines across our enterprise systems.
This role sits at the intersection of applications, data, and integration, enabling secure, reliable data flows between business systems and supporting automation, reporting, and operational insights.
You will work closely with IT, data, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, well‐governed integration solutions that support business outcomes.
What you'll be doing
* Design and implement system‐to‐system integrations using APIs, webhooks, and event‐driven patterns
* Build and maintain data pipelines that support operational reporting and analytics
* Develop integration‐enabled applications, services, and utilities using full‐stack development skills
* Produce integration artefacts such as solution designs, interface specifications, and context diagrams
* Ensure integrations are secure, resilient, monitored, and aligned with enterprise standards
* Work with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
* Support production integrations and data pipelines, including troubleshooting and continuous improvement
* Contribute to integration and data standards to reduce duplication and improve reuse
Essential experience
* Strong experience in data integration and API‐based development
* Hands‐on experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines and data transformations
* Full‐stack development experience (back‐end and front‐end)
* Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational data
* Experience working in structured environments (dev/test/prod) with disciplined release practices
* Ability to document solutions clearly and communicate with technical and non‐technical stakeholders
Technical skills
* Integration technologies: REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2/OIDC, webhooks
* Backend development: .NET, Node.js, or Python (one or more)
* Front‐end development: modern web frameworks (e.g. React, Angular)
* Data engineering concepts: data modelling, validation, quality checks
* Version control (Git) and CI/CD concepts
* Logging, monitoring, and operational support practices
Desirable
* Experience with Microsoft ecosystem and Power Platform integrations
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
* Exposure to data governance, security, and audit‐aligned environments
* Experience in large or multi‐system enterprise environments
