AWE is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for ad hoc works on Dragline, Shovel, CHF & CHPP equipment across Queensland. This role is suited to a high-performing technician who thrives in a fast-paced field environments, enjoys autonomy, and takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance on mobile and fixed plant equipment, including draglines, shovels, coal handling facilities (CHF) and coal handling and preparation plants (CHPP).
* Carry out inspections, fault finding, repairs, overhauls and component replacements in accordance with site procedures and OEM specifications.
* Assist with shutdown, maintenance day and breakdown activities as directed by Supervisors or Leading Hands.
* Safely isolate, dismantle, repair and reassemble mechanical components such as pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, crushers, screens, valves and hydraulic systems.

Requirements:
* Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Cert III in Mechanical Trade)
* Current Manual Australian Driver's License (Mandatory)
* High Risk Work License - LF, WP, DG, RB, CN (desirable)
* RII - Work at Heights, Operate Overhead Gantry, Lifting Operations (highly desirable)
* Glencore Generic Induction & BMA Core (highly regarded)
* Previous experience on Dragline, Shovel, CHF, CHPP.
