Off‐Site Intergenerational Volunteer Role – Create Joy Across Generations
This is a special off‐site intergenerational volunteer opportunity, perfect for someone who loves bringing people together and creating meaningful moments across age groups.
We're seeking a volunteer to accompany residents (on our bus with a staff member) to a local Children's Centre, where they'll spend time engaging with preschool children — singing, dancing, reading stories, playing games, and sharing gentle moments that light up both the young and the young‐at‐heart.
This unique role helps build beautiful connections between generations, offering residents a renewed sense of purpose and delight, while giving children the joy of friendship, storytelling, and warm companionship.
A Working with Children Check is required for this position.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements
* 18 years and over
* National Volunteer Police Check and NDIS screening arranged and paid for by HammondCare
* Visits run fortnightly on Monday mornings, leaving HC from 9:00am onwards and returning in time for lunch approx. 11:45am
