Hunter West Services is a family-owned civil works company seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for an immediate casual role, lasting approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
Our office is based in Sydney, with projects located throughout NSW and QLD.
The current job opportunity is for 2 sites specifically at Murwillumbah (25 mins west of Tweed heads).
Role Responsibilities:
* Operating excavators (1.5t, 5t, and 8t) on civil construction sites.
* Performing trenching, bulk, and detailed excavations.
* Working around services and within tight tolerances.
* Assisting with site setup, routine machinery inspections, and general hands on civil works.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience.
* White Card, valid Statement of Attainment, and current VOC.
* Ability to read plans.
* Truck license (desirable).
* Strong team-player attitude.
Schedule and Compensation:
* Hours: Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
* Pay Rate: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience).
* Overtime: Time and a half after 8.5 hours daily and for all Saturday work.
* Company will cover 50% of Motel accommodation costs should you choose to stay in town
