Geospatial Surveyor

In this pivotal role, you will play a vital part in shaping the future of our operations. As a Geospatial Surveyor, your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely surveys, contributing to efficient site development and production.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced survey professional to join our team on a permanent basis. With a drive-in/drive-out location offering 10.3hr workdays for a 7days-on/7days-off shift roster, you will have the perfect blend of work-life balance and career growth.


About the Role

* You will be responsible for providing operational support through reliable and accurate surveys, including site development, production & rehabilitation.
* Acting as a key interface, this role ensures Department of Mines, Industry Regulation & Safety (DIMRS) compliance through best practice techniques and regulated survey standards.
* Contributing to Environmental Health & Safety practices, you will help achieve an injury-free workplace and reduce environmental impact.

We utilize a combination of technologies, including total stations, integrated global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and remotely piloted aircraft (drones).


Key Responsibilities

1. Reliable and accurate surveys of mining advances, along with set out of key development areas for consistent planning and operational guidance.
2. Machine guidance support through design work, calibration & QA/QC checks.
3. Reconciliation of mining areas and volumes moved through regular reporting.
4. Detail rehabilitation analysis against completion criteria.
5. Detailed and timely updates of site survey records.
6. Ensure procedures are up to date & following best practices.
7. Development and implementation of latest technology and survey techniques.

Requirements

* A Bachelor of Surveying or Advanced Diploma of Surveying would be highly regarded.
* Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills, with relevant recent mine surveying experience.
* Recent exposure to Trimble GNSS technologies.
* Strong understanding of Surpac, Pix 4D Mapper, Global Mapper, ArcGIS.
* A CASA-approved Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
* A current Class C drivers licence.
