About The Role
As a Project Technical Officer, you'll support the planning, coordination, and delivery of estate works projects across Defence sites.
Working within PAS Technical Services, you'll ensure data integrity, compliance, and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle—from scoping and design to handover and defect resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination: Assist in planning and development phases, ensuring data, resources, and access are in place for successful execution.
Lifecycle Support: Oversee project phases including scoping, design, construction, and Defects Liability Period (DLP), ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Data Management: Ensure accurate capture and maintenance of asset data from project initiation through to Handover/Takeover (HOTO).
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a coordinating agent for Defence during key project milestones, including pre-construction meetings and defect inspections.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with PSS Coordinators, Spatial Data Coordinators, and Document Controllers to align efforts and meet project deliverables.
Site Access Facilitation: Leverage established relationships to ensure smooth access and progression of works.
Governance and Quality: Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance with governance requirements across all project documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Promote innovation and efficiency in project support services, contributing to a culture of operational excellence.
SHEQ Participation: Actively engage in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and model strong safety behaviour across all activities.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred; Master's advantageous).
Professional certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP (desirable).
Strong skills in project scheduling, resource planning, and data management.
Proficiency in project tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, or Jira.
Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation.
Knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
A commitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Eligibility: Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance.
As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police check.
