About the Role
As a Junior Estimator, you'll become a key contributor to our tendering / pre-contracts function. Working alongside experienced estimators and contract teams, you will:
* Capture new tender opportunities from various sources, and maintain our Tender Register and or Procore software as applicable (training provided)
* Liaise and coordinate with other team members within the business, to relay, gather information, compile tender documentation and prepare submissions to the client.
* Assist with subcontractor and materials enquiries and review subsequent quotations and follow up as needed
* Assist in build-up of an accurate cost estimates in analytical format using our Expert Estimation software (full training provided)
* Assist in preparation of Works Schedules using MS Project (training provided)
* Assist in Preparing and presenting handover documentation to the contract delivery team once a tender is awarded
* Liaise with construction teams to ensure output & resource data collected from completed works — vital for refining and improving future tender submissions
This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate, looking to build a career in Estimating, Contract Admin, with potential for long-term progression into Project Engineering and Project Management within the civil construction industry.
What We're Looking For
* Someone able to manage and prioritise multiple tenders concurrently, working under tight deadlines
* A hands-on, practical mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising across teams and preparedness to learn
* Attention to detail – accurate, thorough and organised in documentation and data handling
* Ideally, a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a construction-related degree / diploma (though not essential if you show aptitude and willingness to learn)
* Solid proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel, Word)
