About the Role:
This is a full-time position. We are seeking an ICT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support across our retail and repair operations. The role is essential to ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of our ICT systems.
As an ICT Support Technician, you will:
ü Install, configure, troubleshoot, and reinstall iOS and Android operating systems and associated software applications in a business and retail support environment
ü Diagnose and resolve software and hardware compatibility issues across mobile devices, tablets, and related equipment
ü Provide technical support and respond to client and internal staff enquiries regarding device functionality and system performance
ü Identify and implement appropriate software, hardware, or technical solutions to resolve ICT-related issues efficiently
ü Support device functionality through authorised software installation, system configuration, and fault resolution in line with company and regulatory requirements
ü Perform virus detection, basic cybersecurity checks and removal
ü Assist with the maintenance and administration of the company website, including monitoring system functionality, updating content, and identifying potential security vulnerabilities
ü Provide ICT support for company equipment including POS terminals, printers, modems, repair equipment, and desktop PCs
ü Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and system changes, and liaise with external ICT service providers when required
About You:
Ø At least 1 year of relevant experience in ICT support, helpdesk, or technical support roles
Ø A Diploma or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred
Ø Sound knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common business software
Ø Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and efficiently
Ø Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
Ø Well-organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks
Ø A current/valid police check or willingness to obtain one if successful
