Freyssinet Australia is seeking an experienced
Construction Manager / Project Manager
to lead the delivery of high-value remedial and civil infrastructure projects across New South Wales.
This role sits within our
Major Projects Division
, focused on preserving and strengthening Australia's critical assets — from bridge repairs and façade upgrades to large-scale structural remediation on steel and concrete structures. With project values typically ranging from
$10M to $50M
, this position offers the opportunity to manage technically complex works that make a lasting impact on the resilience of our built environment.
About the Role
You will combine hands-on project management with strategic oversight, ensuring each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll oversee multiple teams, manage commercial outcomes, and drive innovation across our remedial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of major remedial and civil projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements
* Manage and mentor project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve high performance and operational excellence
* Oversee contract administration, cost control, forecasting, and reporting for multiple concurrent projects
* Develop and implement construction methodologies tailored to remedial works, balancing efficiency, safety, and risk management
* Collaborate with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure successful delivery
* Provide hands-on technical guidance to resolve design, logistical, and delivery challenges
* Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement across all project activities
About You
You are a results-driven construction professional with the technical capability and leadership experience to deliver complex remedial and civil engineering projects.
You will bring:
* Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Project Manager within remedial, civil, or structural engineering
* Strong technical understanding of remedial construction, including concrete repair, bridge strengthening, façade refurbishment, and steel remediation
* Demonstrated success managing teams, subcontractors, and multiple stakeholders on high-value projects
* Expertise in project delivery — including cost management, contract administration, scheduling, and risk control
* A strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality assurance
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred)
