**About the Role**:
FSA Emergency Response Officers must possess a passion for high quality care to join our site-based project teams. The Emergency Response Officer will respond as a member of the 'onsite' emergency response team. Providing an understanding of the systems and processes that make up prevention, preparedness and response which includes mentoring and familiarisation of operations, processes and procedures to onsite personnel and support health, safety activities where required.

- Undertake confined space rescue PUASAR025A;
- Undertake first response to fire incidents MSAPMOHS212A:
- Breathing apparatus (SCBA);
- Provide initial response to workplace hazardous material incidents;
- Follow maritime security procedures TDMMO107A;
- Certificate II in Security Operations CPP20211;
- Working at heights RIIWHS204D;
- Confined space:
- Observe permit to work MSAPMPER202A;
- Work in accordance with an issued permit MSMPER200;
- Enter and work in confined spaces RIIWHS202D;
- CPP20511 - Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing:
- CPPFES2004 - Identify types of installed fire safety equipment and systems (for TFS license);
- CPPFES2006 - Prepare for installation and servicing operations (for TFS license);
- CPPFES2011 - Install portable fire extinguishers, fire cabinets and fire blankets;
- CPPFES2020 - Conduct routine inspection and testing of fire extinguishers and fire blankets;
- Certificate III in Pathology HLT32607 - perform blood collections HLTPAT306A;
- On Site testing for alcohol and drugs of abuse 30807QLD - perform on Site testing for alcohol levels in the human body ADT001B;
**Required Experience**
- Proven active experience within the fire and rescue industry, preferably within an industrial environment
- Proven expertise in industrial fire, rescue and emergency operational concepts, procedures and systems. Highly disciplined, with exceptional communication and organizational skills;
- Proven experience in high-risk work activity including but not limited to; rescue planning, gas tester, permit issuer, permit user, heights safety supervisor, long line operator, hazardous areas awareness, major hazard facility warning systems exposure; and all corresponding codes of practice and regulations;
- Proven medical treatment and response to medical emergencies; first aid delivery, referral to medical practitioner or hospital as appropriate and in accordance with NYRSTAR policy.
