The role
Overview
Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team who share our vision of building a sustainable and profitable major Australian gold business. This role is a full‐time permanent position based at our Higginsville Operation, with a competitive salary and attractive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Operate all processing plant equipment, including milling, CIL, crushing, elution circuit, control room, and tailings storage facilities.
- Operate forklift, EWP, and skid‐steer safely and correctly.
- Operate process control systems using CITECT.
- Identify and diagnose items of the plant that require preventive maintenance or repair.
- Identify and act on ways to improve output or efficiency of the plant.
- Liaise with contractors and stakeholders as required.
Qualifications
- Current "C" Class manual Western Australian driver's licence.
- Experience working within a gold processing plant.
- Experience with Sag/Ball Mill operations.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
- Experience in process control and SCADA systems (CITECT) (desirable).
- Confined Space Ticket (desirable).
- Gas Testing Ticket (desirable).
- Working at Heights Ticket (desirable).
- Forklift Licence (desirable).
- A can‐do, team‐oriented attitude.
- Reasonable computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite.
- Solid problem‐solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable.
- Excellent communication skills.
