About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Safety Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This critical role involves managing drug and alcohol programs, occupational hygiene portfolios, and fire safety systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the occupational hygiene management program to ensure the hygiene management system remains fit for purpose and achieves compliance.
* Coordinate the fire safety management system and facilitate drug and alcohol testing contracts.
* Conduct internal audit programs to ensure compliance with safety management systems and ISO45001 requirements.
* Develop and deliver training programs related to safety hygiene, monitoring, and assurance.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or similar qualification is essential.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Audit, or Assurance is advantageous.
* Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene certification is highly valued.
* Competencies in respirable dust monitoring are preferred.
