**The Opportunity**
Assist the fitout team with general labouring, preparation and cleaning tasks within a shipyard environment as directed by immediate Leading Hand/Supervisor.
**What's involved**
- Assist tradespeople when required
- Understand, embrace, implement and comply with all Austal Policies and Procedures related to HSEQ
- Hold self and workmates accountable to HSEQ standards
- Ensuring good housekeeping is practiced
- Holding self and others accountable to the standards.
- Improving the standard.
- Reduce waste in all its forms.
**You'll need**
- Essential_
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Forklift Licence
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner.
- Ability to use standard tools.
- Possesses good time management skills and ability to meet targets set by the supervisor.
- Desirable_
- EWP + 11m
- Work in accordance with an issued permit
- Demonstrate First Attack Fire Fighting Equipment
- 1 year Experience in general labouring
- 1 year Experience in Confined Space Entry Sentry and Fire Sentry
- Material hoist
