* Develop and execute trading strategies for coking coal products, including spot, term, and structured transactions, with full P&L accountability.
* Originate and manage relationships with mining companies, steel producers, industrial consumers, and logistics providers across Australia, Asia, and global markets.
* Monitor supply-demand trends, pricing movements, freight markets, and currency exposure to identify profitable trading opportunities.
* Negotiate contracts and manage all aspects of deal execution, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
* Work closely with operations, finance, and risk management teams to optimize trading performance and ensure seamless delivery of cargoes.
Key Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in physical coal trading, with a specific focus on coking coal and a proven record of commercial success.
* Established network of contacts within the Australian and Asian coking coal markets.
* In-depth understanding of coal quality specifications, supply chains, logistics, and market pricing structures.
* Strong background in risk management, hedging strategies, and structured deal execution.
* Excellent negotiation skills, analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced trading environment.
