As a Clinical Nurse Educator for the Women's and Children's stream, you will play a pivotal role in clinical excellence, leading innovative education and professional development that empower nurses and midwives to deliver safe, compassionate, family‐centred care to paediatric patients. You will work in a supportive environment that values creativity, teamwork and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead education and professional development for nurses and midwives in paediatric care.
* Develop, implement and evaluate training activities, including education, professional development and research initiatives.
* Apply facilitation skills and learning evaluation strategies within the clinical context to foster a person‐centred culture.
* Assess current nursing practice, identify gaps and implement strategies for improvement.
* Engage in continuous quality improvement and contribute to research outcomes that enhance patient care.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated high level knowledge, skills and clinical expertise in paediatric nursing and ability to lead and evaluate nursing practice.
* Ability to apply facilitation skills, learning and evaluation strategies in a clinical setting for the development of a person‐centred culture.
* Sound understanding of contemporary education, health and professional development issues and their impact on the nursing workforce.
* Demonstrated application of knowledge to teaching, learning, quality improvement and research.
* High level written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary context.
* Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety, workplace diversity and legal, ethical and professional practice standards.
Appointment Details
Permanent part‐time day worker, working 28 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable).
Salary
$118,297 to $125,543 per annum, plus 12% superannuation contribution, in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Post graduate allowance up to 10% based on qualification type, and additional allowances on salaried incremental point.

Eligibility
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Desirable: postgraduate qualifications in education, clinical teaching and learning, or clinical/practice specialty relevant to paediatric care.
