We are experiencing sustained double-digit growth both domestically and internationally and recently upgraded the manufacturing capacity to accommodate growth. Subsequently we are searching for an experienced Maintenance Manager who can effectively manage the maintenance, resources, and activities to ensure optimise performance of their facility in the western suburbs. The role will establish a Preventative Maintenance program and ensure all production service levels and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects are carried out on time and to budget.
**The Role**
This is very much a dynamic and hands-on role that is responsible for defining and directing activities within the Maintenance team, including working with the Production team to optimise ultiization of company assets. The successful applicant will have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive engagement and a culture of continuous improvement.
This role is a crucial member of the overall team and will play a major part in driving the operational excellence agenda, cost reduction and increased productivity.
**Your duties will include**:
- Daily management of the maintenance team and tasks, including start-up preparation and where necessary response to break-fix
- Experience/passion for lean manufacturing
- Design and implement Preventative Maintenance Strategy to assure maximum utilization of company assets
- Analyse plant equipment reliability and performance to improve overall plant equipment reliability
- Liaising with outside contractors/ service providers to ensure PMs are completed as planned
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Establishing and refining PM function, developing and implementing PM policies to optimise plant uptime
- Identifying and correcting any OH&S issues
- A strong planning background
- Maintaining detailed service records
- Reduce cost of maintenance while improving service
- Building a high-performance team focused on delivering superior service levels
- Participating in all stages of quality audits, as required
- Liaising with Production teams to identify machine issues and plans for resolution
- Checking weekly / daily production plan and organising accordingly
- Participating in, and contributing to, debate, evaluation and decision making of key departmental issues as a member of the operations team
- Meet KPI's for quarterly targets
- Experience managing a Maintenance Department in a food or FMCG setting
- An Electrical background would be highly regarded or a Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Engineering degree in relevant discipline would also be advantageous
- Experience with freezer compressors, pneumatic systems, cooling towers, and boilers (advantageous to the role)
- Experience in Excel and Word and willingness to learn CMMS
- Strong leadership abilities
- Experienced in guiding H&S

**Hours and location**:
- 37.5 hours per week on a contract to permanent basis
- Required to work from our office in Ingleburn, NSW

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
