About Us
Established in 2007, Lucon Industries has become a leader in the maintenance and turnkey project delivery space, serving a diverse range of sectors including Quarries, Mines, Ports & Marine, Concrete, Recycling, and Asphalt. Our team is based out of our new workshop in Ballan, with additional facilities in Williamstown.
The Role
You'll start with workshop-based duties at our Ballan workshop, with opportunities to travel to various sites as jobs arise. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Fabricating, Welding, Repairing or Maintaining heavy-duty industrial equipment.
* Interpreting technical drawings and welding procedures to coordinate large scale project tasks.
* Assisting with shutdown maintenance and general fabrication tasks.
* Working on a variety of different projects, companies and industries as required.
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical or Fabrication Trade).
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a heavy industrial environment like quarries, mines, or ports.
* A strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and the ability to work unsupervised in a fast paced environment as part of the team.
* A valid driver's license and the flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
* The ability to travel for work across Victoria and interstate when required
* The unrestricted right to work in Australia.
Experience in the quarry industry, along with current welding certifications (MIG/TIG) and relevant tickets (EWP, Forklift, Crane, etc.) are highly advantageous.
