Lean Mining is seeking Plumbers, Electricians, Refrigeration Technicians and Manual Machinists for FIFO and residential roles across Central and North Queensland, supporting medium- and long-term maintenance rosters.
These are ongoing site-based roles, not shutdown work, and are ideal for tradespeople looking for roster stability, consistent work, and long-term site integration.
We're looking for people who take pride in their trade, work safely, and want to be part of a reliable, professional site team. Attitude and reliability matter just as much as technical skill.

What These Roles Look Like on Site
These positions are embedded into existing site maintenance teams, supporting day-to-day operations, planned maintenance, and reliability-focused work.

Roles Available
Plumbers (Mining / Industrial)
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance and repair of potable water, sewer, and drainage systems
* Pumps, pipework, valves, tanks, and associated infrastructure
* Preventive and corrective maintenance activities
* Permit-based work, isolations, and safe task execution
* Manual handling of tools, pipework, and components in line with site procedures

Electricians (Mining / Infrastructure & Fixed Plant)
Key Responsibilities
* Ongoing maintenance and fault-finding on motors, switchboards, MCCs, and infrastructure systems
* Electrical testing and verification (IR, continuity, earth, RCD)
* Preventive maintenance and reliability-focused work
* Isolations, permits, and LOTO execution
* Manual handling of cables, tools, and electrical components
* HV exposure or switching (site-dependent and highly regarded)

Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technicians
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems
* Servicing split systems, packaged units, and industrial air-conditioning
* Fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance
* Refrigerant handling and environmental compliance
* Manual handling of plant, compressors, and associated equipment

Manual Machinists
Key Responsibilities
* Manual machining on lathes, mills, borers, and workshop equipment
* Manufacture, repair, and refurbishment of plant and infrastructure components
* Precision fitting, measurement, and tolerance work
* Line boring and component recovery (where applicable)
* Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications
* Manual handling of tooling, materials, and components

We Are Looking For Tradespeople Who:
* Hold a relevant trade qualification
* Have experience in mining, industrial, or heavy-industry environments
* Are reliable, engaged, and take pride in their work
* Work well with others and contribute positively on site
* Communicate clearly and follow site systems and standards
* Hold full working rights in Australia
You'll also need to pass:
* Pre-employment medical
* Drug & alcohol screening
* National Police Check
