**Mechanical Engineering Technician**
**Full-Time**
**Salary: $70k - $95k pa**
**As a Mechanical Engineering Technician**, you will be responsible for quality mechanical servicing and minor repairs, while ensuring all job cards are accurate and detailed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Selecting Tools and Equipment**:Choose the appropriate tools and equipment required for mechanical assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
**Quality Mechanical Servicing and Minor Repairs**:Perform quality mechanical servicing and minor repairs while ensuring that all job cards are accurate and detailed.
**Diagnostic Testing**:Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify faults or malfunctions.
**Troubleshooting and Repairs**:Identify and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
**Maintenance and Repair**: Performing maintenance tasks and repairs working on components and systems to ensure they function correctly and safely.
**Maintenance Planning**:Develop and implement mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns and ensure the longevity of mechanical systems.
**Estimating Material Costs and Requirements**:Estimate material costs and quantities, as well as machine requirements for various projects.
**Documentation**:Document processes, maintain mechanical service records, and keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
**Parts and Supplies Management**:Monitor the availability of parts and supplies, and replenish as needed to minimize downtime**.**
**Optimizing Efficiency**:Optimize mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings to meet performance and safety standards.
**Technical Knowledge**: A strong understanding of mechanical systems, including knowledge of how different components work together. This includes knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and other mechanical systems.
**Quality Assurance**:Ensure that designs and finished work meet or exceed specified engineering and quality standards.
**Safety Procedures**:Follow safety procedures to protect themselves and others while working with mechanical systems.
**Training**:Provide training to co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
**Customer Service**: Communicate with customers to explain repair options and provide estimates for repairs. Address customer concerns and inquiries professionally.
**Qualifications**
- Suitable trade qualifications or relevant experience.
**Experience**
- Minimum of 5 Years Land Rover Experience
- Proven service experience and passion for the brand and industry (we only work on Land Rovers / Range Rovers);
- Experience with problem-solving and diagnostic skills;
**Skills**
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools to disassemble, reassemble, and repair mechanical parts.
- Ability to take ownership;
- Basic computer literacy;
- Current NSW/ACT full drivers licence;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Customer service focus;
- Must be able to work as a team but also autonomously;
