About The Role
As an Accountant at Hismile, you will take ownership of key accounting functions, compliance, and reporting across our global operations. You'll manage day-to-day accounting responsibilities, oversee financial processes, and provide insights that support strategic business decisions.
This role provides exposure to the commercial side of a fast-growing global eCommerce business, giving you the opportunity to influence business outcomes, drive process improvements, and work closely with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage accounting for all entities across the Hismile Group (Australian and international), including reconciliations using Xero and Excel
* Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and bills
* Assist in preparing management accounts and annual financial statements for multiple entities
* Prepare periodic tax returns for all necessary jurisdictions including Australia, the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
* Coordinate and support external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring documentation is complete
* Lead ad-hoc commercial projects and business improvement initiatives, providing actionable insights to the wider business
* Analyse financial and operational data across business units to deliver recommendations that drive smarter decisions
* Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial information
About You
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* CA or CPA qualification preferred
* 2–5 years of practical accounting experience (including compliance, reporting, and reconciliation)
* Strong analytical skills with ability to provide actionable insights
* Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
* High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
* Comfortable leading small projects and mentoring junior team members
* Proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for accuracy and process improvement
