Job Title: Irrigation Fitter
We are partnering with a local government to maintain the city's irrigation infrastructure. This is a skilled role requiring an experienced Irrigation Fitter to ensure that our systems are in good working order.
* Analyze and repair irrigation systems as required, including pipes, valves, sprinklers etc.
* Develop and implement yearly irrigation maintenance programs with the supervisor
* Monitor and report any faults, damage, etc. on equipment/plant to the supervisor
* Program irrigation controllers and monitor watering times and schedules within designated areas
* Carry out minor additions/alterations to existing irrigation systems as directed
About You:
* Possession of an Irrigation Installation qualification or relevant experience
* Experience with large scale irrigation systems as well as developing and working programmed irrigation schedules
* Experience in safely and effectively using equipment pertaining to irrigation operations
* Working knowledge of all pumps, switchgear faults and associated pumping equipment, variable speed drive, filtration units and irrigation controllers
* Sound knowledge of fault diagnosis, programmed maintenance, repair and installation of irrigation systems, bores and their constructions, solenoid valves as well as sprinkler types and their operation
* An ability to correctly interpret drawings/specifications and undertake work to acceptable standards
* Be conversant in the collection and preparation of data for pumps, bores for maintenance schedules
* Be able to set priorities, manage own time and meet deadlines when working in a team or unsupervised
You must possess a current 'C' Class Drivers Licence, basic Traffic Worksite Management Cert, Construction Induction Card, HR Licence and produce a police clearance that is less than 3 months old.
