Electrical Project Leader
About the Role:
This role is pivotal in delivering a large-scale capital works program focused on upgrading and renewing our energy-generating assets, which have been operational for over 100 years.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Review and provide recommendations for final engineering sign-off on concept designs, detailed drawings, reports, and project proposals to ensure technical soundness and alignment with operational requirements.
* Offer expert advice to resolve complex project challenges, ensuring solutions are technically feasible and aligned with operational needs.
* Develop and evaluate technical solutions to asset issues, supporting safe and timely commissioning of new or refurbished equipment.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team capability and professional development.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and balance technical, commercial, and operational risks.
About You:
You possess significant experience in designing, constructing, or managing large-scale industrial or energy infrastructure, preferably within the hydropower sector. Your expertise encompasses HV switchgear, transformers, alternators, and other electricity generation-related equipment.
You bring a strong track record of providing technical leadership, managing engineering risk, and delivering high-quality outcomes across complex projects. Confident in your ability to review and make informed decisions, you're also a collaborative team player who values continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
