Job Title:
Midwife Retention and Recruitment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Midwife Retention and Recruitment Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating, planning, and implementing orientation programs for Newly Qualified and International Midwives. This role is responsible for ensuring these midwives feel supported and able to thrive within their working environment.


Job Description

As a Midwife Retention and Recruitment Specialist, you will work closely with senior staff and assessors to provide robust inductions and orientations to placement areas. Your primary responsibilities include:

* Coordinating orientation programs for Newly Qualified and International Midwives;
* Developing additional support plans as needed;
* Working with the Head of Education: Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals to ensure a consistent approach to post-registration education across the trust.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of policies and guidelines applicable to the placements of post-registration preceptor practitioners and B5 RNs working within maternity. You will also provide leadership for all members of the Midwifery and Non-Midwifery team, acting as a role model and promoting appropriate midwifery care.

* Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders;
* Experience in coordinating orientation programs and developing support plans;
* Knowledge of post-registration education and training principles.
