The Role
We're now looking for a hands-on, technically capable Maintenance Supervisor to join our 24/7 Yarraville manufacturing site. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for keeping the plant running safely, reliably and efficiently.
This is not a desk job. You'll be on the floor, leading from the front and coordinating skilled trades to ensure preventative maintenance is executed properly and breakdowns are rectified fast.
You'll report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with Production and Site Leadership.
Day shift: 6:00am – 3:00pm | Full-time | Site-based | ASAP start
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of trades/technicians and 2 x engineers, with the ability to scale during shutdowns
Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise uptime and OEE
Manage breakdown response in a 24/7 environment, minimising production impact
Plan and coordinate weekly shutdowns and support the 11-day annual major shutdown
Contribute to root cause analysis and long-term reliability improvements
Support budget control (maintenance budget + capital works)
Supervise contractors and ensure statutory and WHSE compliance
Drive continuous improvement and lean maintenance practices
Strengthen operator relationships to improve asset care and equipment performance
Ensure accurate maintenance records in CMMS (SAP experience advantageous)
About You
Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification (Fitter, Machinist, Electrical or similar)
Previous experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry maintenance environment
Proven leadership experience supervising trades in a 24/7 or high-availability environment
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability (rotating equipment experience highly regarded)
Contractor management experience
Strong safety leadership and understanding of permits, JSEA/SWMS
Reliability-centred maintenance or condition monitoring exposure
Control systems familiarity
