About us: The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. This position also acts as a resource person in pain management for staff, service managers and health care consumers of the Cairns and Hinterland Health and Hospital Service and the secondary catchment area of Far North Queensland. About you: In your new role you will * Deliver high level clinical services (including case management and assessment, diagnosis and treatment interventions) to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team and in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. * Act as a resource person in the area of pain management providing high level clinical advice to Psychologists and other health professionals, professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery. * Contribute to the planning, development and review of work practices and systems within the Pain Management Service through active representation as required at service management meetings and the monitoring and reporting of operational or organisational issues, clinical practices and outcomes within the work unit.
