Systems Administrator
As a Systems Administrator, you'll report directly to the Head of Information Technology and contribute to ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT environment. This is a hands‐on technical role offering diverse responsibilities and a collaborative work culture.
Responsibilities
* Maintain enterprise core server, storage, virtualisation, and cloud environments.
* Administer Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra, and Microsoft 365 services.
* Maintain strong security practices for system, identity, and access controls.
* Monitor and resolve system incidents, performing root‐cause analysis for incident prevention.
* Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support and assist in front‐line service desk coverage during peak periods.
* Drive infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and lifecycle refresh projects.
* Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and configuration records.
* Strengthen disaster‐recovery plans and ensure resilience readiness.
* Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to enhance IT service delivery.
* Adhere to IT governance, security standards, and data management protocols.
* Explore and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and enable automation.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
* Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, ITIL) are highly desirable.
* A demonstrated commitment to staying abreast of evolving technologies.
Technical Expertise
* 7+ years of experience in a similar role or equivalent infrastructure roles.
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, virtualisation, cloud platforms (including Azure), and hybrid enterprise environments.
* Expertise in cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, and network basics like firewalls, VPNs, and routing.
* Proficiency in Microsoft products and services with a focus on automation tools like PowerShell.
* Deep understanding of enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster‐recovery practices.
Soft Skills
* Analytical, with strong problem‐solving capabilities and sound judgment.
* Ability to interact confidently with technical and non‐technical audiences.
* High levels of adaptability, organisation, and independent work capability.
