Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region. A new emergency department is being built which will double the department's current capacity. Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.
About the role:
To provide timely, high level, quality, confidential administrative support service to the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service as required. These positions are appointed to Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service and to meet requirements the positions may be required to cover multiple departments. Shift times outside of core business hours may be required as per operational needs.
About you:
* Undertake administrative support tasks and functions for a variety of departments, ensuring effective day to day operations are maintained, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, self-direction and independence in the absence of direct supervision.
* Organise and coordinate various meetings, including but not limited to, the taking and distribution of agendas and minutes.
* Maintain a good working knowledge of current issues relating to matters affecting Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
* Help identify, develop and implement strategies and work practices which improve workflow, efficiency and effectiveness.
