About the role
These roles are full-time, permanent day shift positions ( you must have the ability to work both shift times of 4:00 am-1:30 pm and 7:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday to Friday).
The successful applicant will need to have a mechanical aptitude, be eager to multi-skill, maintain good attendance, and have a strong awareness and regard for safety.
This role is perfect for someone with a mechanical or technical background who enjoys working with machinery.
- Operating multiple machines
- Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to 5S Standards in the work area
- Executing profile changeovers
- Performing quality control checks
- Fault finding
- Recording data on quality sheets
- Conducting oil level checks
- Monitoring raw material feed and identifying/rejecting defective products
- Overseeing the extrusion process to meet Monier standards
- Providing training to new operators
- Resetting and starting tile machines
- Refilling sand bins as needed, with relevant certifications
- Assisting in other roles when necessary
- Ensuring cleanliness of recycle conveyors
- Performing asset care in accordance with CSR PM Way standards
- Upholding high standards of housekeeping
What you bring to the role
- Demonstrated progressive experience in a production or process technical role in a similar industry (warehousing or large manufacturing environment)
- A strong commitment to safety awareness
- Willingness to learn and absorb new information and skills
- Commitment to ongoing training and self-development
- Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability
- Adaptable and flexible
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
