Senior Environmental Advisor I Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Environmental Advisor to ensure compliance and support the continuity of our Iron Ore projects. As an integral member of our team, you will play a key role in collaborating with construction and operational teams to drive environmental awareness and deliver consistent environmental compliance activities.


Job Responsibilities:

* Provide onsite engagement with site teams to ensure understanding and commitment to environmental compliance.
* Coordinate land access permitting processes to ensure timely progression and close-out.
* Support auditing, inspection, monitoring, and reporting processes to maintain high standards of environmental performance.
* Assist in environmental incident reporting, investigations, action tracking, and completion to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
* Provide professional and timely environmental advice to site personnel on environmental aspects of project delivery.
* Support stakeholders by providing scientific advice on environmental aspects of projects and facilitating effective communication.
* Interpret legislation, government standards, and agreements to provide informed commentary, improvement opportunities, and risk management strategies.
* Coordinate and execute environmental monitoring and associated project scopes to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and participate in external audits as required to maintain compliance and improve performance.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Highly experienced Senior Environmental Advisor with a proven track record of delivering environmental compliance activities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to facilitate effective collaboration and communication.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret legislation, government standards, and agreements.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
* Proficient in coordinating land access permitting processes and ensuring timely progression.
