We are recruiting for HSEQ Quality Systems Manager responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an integrated Quality Management System (QMS) that embeds ISO45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO14001 (Environmental Management) standards across the enterprise.
This role ensures compliance, drives continuous improvement, and supports certification programs for all business lines, including Concrete, Quarries, Asphalt, and Cement. With dual reporting into Head of Environment and Head of Safety, this role spans the entire Boral enterprise, working across all business units. This is a permanent, full‑time opportunity based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Your day will involve:
* Quality Management System Development: Build and implement an ISO45001 and ISO14001 accredited management system within a unified QMS framework, including the development and maintenance of all key documents as part of a structured document hierarchy for each ISO system.
* Certification and Compliance: Lead external certification audit programs, including scheduling auditors, coordinating meetings, and managing audit logistics. Drive certification processes for Safety and Environment across all enterprise business lines. Manage external audits for ISO certification and ensure timely resolution of findings.
* Internal Audit and Assurance: Develop and conduct an internal audit program to verify compliance with QMS requirements across all business lines. Define and implement an external audit program to maintain certification standards.
* Business Integration: Define key QMS‑related tasks and responsibilities for each business line (Concrete, Quarries, Asphalt, Cement) and collaborate with operational leaders to embed QMS processes into daily activities.
* Training and Capability Building: Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the People & Culture team for QMS‑related training development and support delivery of training programs to build organizational capability in quality, safety, and environmental management. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring alignment of QMS with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
What are we looking for?
* Bachelor's Degree in Safety and/or Environment.
* Proven experience in building, implementing and maintaining integrated ISO accredited quality management systems.
* Expertise in QMS frameworks and ISO standards.
* Strong knowledge of audit/assurance processes and certification requirements.
* Ability to lead audits and manage compliance programs.Experience in developing and delivering enterprise‑wide training.
* Demonstrated experience as a people leader.
