We're expanding our Maintenance team and have multiple opportunities available for experienced Lead Fitter and Maintenance Fitters at our Mount Gambier sites. These roles are critical in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently, supporting production through high-quality mechanical maintenance, breakdown response and proactive repair work.

About the roles:

As a Lead Fitter, you'll take ownership of mechanical maintenance across your area, providing technical expertise, coordinating daily priorities ad shift coverage, setting standards for safe and efficient work, and supporting the development of other Fitters and Trades Assistants.

As a Maintenance Fitter, you'll work hands-on to deliver high-quality mechanical maintenance, breakdown response and proactive repairs to keep production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Fitter (in addition to Fitter duties):

* Provide front-line leadership, allocating daily tasks and supporting the maintenance schedule
* Mentor and guide other Fitters/Trades Assistants to build technical capability
* Lead by example on safety, housekeeping and best-practice maintenance standards
* Support continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and improve reliability
* Liaise with Production and Maintenance leadership to communicate risks, priorities and resource needs

As a Maintenance Fitter:

· Deliver high-quality mechanical maintenance and breakdown repair services

· Reduce downtime by carrying out preventative and proactive maintenance

· Maintain the workshop to a clean, organised and safe standard

· Ensure tools, equipment and machinery are kept clean, serviced and in good working order

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

* Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent)
* Strong experience with hydraulics and pneumatics (essential)
* Current Driver's Licence
* Industrial or manufacturing experience (timber experience highly regarded)
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
* Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
* Strong problem-solving ability and sound decision-making
* Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
