About the Role

Come join a dynamic team at the forefront of Western Australia's global engagement. The Strategy, Performance and International Engagement branch plays a pivotal role in shaping strategic policy advice on state development issues while driving international promotion of WA's industries. Through a network of global offices, the branch fosters strategic investment and trade opportunities, contributing to the diversification and growth of the State's economy, this role supports the development of impactful strategies, plans and projects that elevate WA's international presence.

We are seeking a seasoned leader with a proven track record in delivering client-focused investment and trade facilitation services. You will manage a high-performing team, oversee program performance, and lead initiatives that attract international trade and investment. Your ability to qualify and case manage clients, provide market insights, and identify opportunities across priority sectors will be key to driving economic outcomes. This role also involves promoting WA's industries to government and stakeholders, enhancing engagement in market strategies and activities.

To be competitive in this role you will bring strong experience in international trade and investment, industry development, and stakeholder engagement. You will demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and a good understanding of international markets, industry sectors, and cultural protocols. Your ability to represent the Department in negotiations and events, maintain effective Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and support industry growth plans will be essential to your success.
