About The Role
Working on Ventia's very own National Clothing Stores Contract for Defence, we are seeking a Seams Person to assist with the daily operation of the Defence clothing store located within Robertson Barracks. This role requires good customer service and communication skills, dealing with defence personnel on the base. This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week between Monday to Friday, from 7:30am - 4:06pm

Key Responsibilities
Measure and fit customers for clothing items
Perform duties of sewing ranks, insignia, and badges to Defence specification
Sewing duties including hemming, alterations, and Medal mounting
Customer service and record keeping of customer orders
Use of computer systems
Stocktaking
Key Skills & Attributes
Experience in hand stitch and sewing machine clothing alterations
General computing skills
Experience using heavy duty sewing machines (Desirable)
Experience working in a team/Customer Service environment (Desirable)
High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
Scheduling workloads and meeting production deadlines
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1
As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen
