Lead a key SharePoint migration project within a federal agency and help shape the transition to a modern Microsoft 365 environment.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Consultant/Solution Architect to help our federal agency client develop a migration plan from SharePoint 2019 On-Premise (SP19) to SharePoint Online (SPO) as part of its Microsoft 365 uplift.
You'll work closely with stakeholders to design a practical, secure, and future-ready migration strategy that supports collaboration, compliance, and digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop a comprehensive migration plan from SP19 to SPO (approx. 20GB environment, 20 sites)
* Leverage SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 tools while maintaining Out-of-the-Box functionality
* Design SPO configuration supporting business collaboration, Teams integration, and potential AI features
* Incorporate ASD Secure Cloud principles within the migration approach
* Align migration planning with cybersecurity, information security, and data governance frameworks
* Define integration requirements with on-premise EDRMS systems (e.g. Content Manager)
* Deliver effective knowledge transfer to internal support teams for successful implementation

What You'll Bring
* Proven experience designing and delivering SharePoint Online / M365 migration strategies
* Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2019 on-premise, M365 architecture, and modern SharePoint site design
* Understanding of government information governance and cybersecurity standards
* Experience integrating SharePoint with EDRMS or Content Manager (OpenText) advantageous
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, documentation, and planning skills
* Ability to deliver high-quality outcomes within tight project timelines
