Job Description
As a process engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing systems, components, and processes for large projects. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct field investigations and special studies for process/chemical design.
You will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of systems, components, and processes used in process/chemical for projects with unique requirements.
* Evaluate, select, and apply standard Process/Chemical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria for small-size projects or assignments.
* Design, develop, modify, and evaluate components and processes used in process/chemical utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides.
* Prepare or assist in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
Major Responsibilities
* Perform relief system design, including Pressure Safety valve (PSV) sizing, flare hydraulics, and radiation analysis.
* Perform safety, environmental, and operability reviews (HAZOP, CHAP).
* Provide technical assistance to other Process/Chemical personnel and interact with project functions, customers, and regulatory agency personnel in resolving complex regulatory issues.
The position is designated as part-time telework with at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong background in chemical engineering principles and practices.
* Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
