The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth within Australia’s clinical trial supply market. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping and executing the company’s growth strategy, building long-term client partnerships, and converting opportunities into successful, well-delivered projects. This is a hands-on, end-to-end sales role suited to someone who thrives in a regulated environment and enjoys working closely with senior leadership and operational teams. Key Responsibilities Partner with the CEO to develop and deliver strategic growth initiatives aligned with business objectives and financial forecasts Manage the full business development lifecycle, from lead generation and opportunity qualification through proposal development, contract negotiation, and handover Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial documentation including proposals, quotations, CDAs, MSAs, and related agreements Work closely with project management teams to scope work accurately and support change order pricing and contracting Maintain and optimise CRM and sales pipeline processes to ensure visibility, forecasting accuracy, and efficient reporting Act as a company ambassador at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to strengthen market presence Identify and pursue new business opportunities across pharmaceutical companies, CROs, biotech organisations, and research institutions Ensure seamless transition from signed contract to operational delivery, aligning expectations and supporting successful execution About You Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Business, or a related discipline Experience in business development within the pharmaceutical clinical trial supply chain or CDMO environment Entry level candidates will be considered possessing transferable skills from a customer service, medical information or drug safety background, providing there is a strong desire and ability to demonstrate a passion for sales. Strong working knowledge of GMP and GCP requirements Existing network and relationships across pharma, CROs, biotech, and research sectors Proven commercial acumen with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and contribute to long-term planning Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively across cultures and organisational levels Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused approach Location Sydney preferred, with flexibility to support clients and activities across Brisbane and Melbourne.
