Pryan is seeking an experienced Automation Tester to support a major Federal Government transformation program. This role will suit a hands-on automation professional who can step into an established delivery environment, work closely with agile teams, and contribute to reliable, repeatable releases across business-critical systems.

About the role
You will join a specialist automation testing capability supporting high-value government systems. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and executing automated test suites aligned to an existing framework, while working closely with delivery teams across ongoing release cycles.
You will be expected to contribute practically across automation design, execution, defect triage, reporting, and release support rather than operate purely in a coordination role.
Key responsibilities
* Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts, scenarios, and test playbooks
* Deliver functional, integration, and regression testing across agile release cycles
* Work closely with developers, business analysts, and delivery teams to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and release scope
* Integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines and support automated execution across environments
* Identify, log, track, and assist with triage of defects through to resolution
* Contribute to test reporting and dashboards to demonstrate testing outcomes
* Support release readiness activities and provide clear visibility of risks, issues, and dependencies
* Engage with technical and business stakeholders as required
Essential experience
* Strong hands-on automation testing experience with tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, and Swagger
* Demonstrated experience implementing automation within CI/CD pipelines
* Experience working in agile delivery environments
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with distributed teams
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while contributing as part of a team
* Australian citizenship
* Ability to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance
Highly regarded
* Strong experience with Selenium using C#
* Experience working with SpecFlow and/or Reqnroll
* Experience in Visual Studio and .NET-based environments
* Experience with JavaScript
* Experience with SQL, test data creation, and backend validation
* Previous experience delivering Australian Government ICT projects
* Experience working in secure or regulated environments

* Canberra preferred, with other Australian locations considered
* Hybrid working arrangement
* Regular onsite attendance expected as part of team delivery
