About the Role
This is a unique prospect to work in the corporate finance function in a role that directly contributes to strategic business outcomes. As Financial Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, driving governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of financial and management reports, annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Oversee compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and government reporting obligations
Develop and maintain financial systems, policies, and processes aligned with best practice
Drive continuous improvement and data-driven analysis to enhance decision-making
Partner with senior stakeholders to provide expert advice and insights
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or Economics
CA/CPA qualification (or eligibility)
Proven track record in financial reporting, audit, and compliance within complex organisations
Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams and performance outcomes
Extensive knowledge of accounting standards, financial systems, and reporting tools
Desirable
Experience in government or highly regulated environments
Knowledge of SA Government financial frameworks and Treasury requirements
