The role

At CORPS, we are a single solution civil construction company based in the economic powerhouse that is the Pilbara region with an office also based in Subiaco.

The Payroll Advisor is responsible for processing and managing weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely payments. This role involves working closely with HR, finance and operations teams to maintain payroll records, interpret awards and agreements, manage payroll queries and ensure adherence to workplace regulations. The Payroll Advisor plays a key role in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time while maintaining payroll data integrity.

This role will be considered on a full time or part time basis based either in our Subiaco or Karratha office.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete end-to-end weekly payroll processing, including data entry, validation and reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry awards and employment contracts.
  • Process overtime, allowances and deductions as per company policies.
  • Process other submissions and payments such as salary packaging and salary sacrifice.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with taxation laws, superannuation and workplace regulations.
  • Prepare payroll reports, including payroll summaries, cost allocations and variance analysis.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits, ensuring records are accurate and compliant.
  • Reconcile payroll transactions and ensure accuracy in payroll accounts.
  • Assist in reconciling and processing PAYG Tax, superannuation and payroll liabilities.
  • Support finance team with payroll related financial reporting.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of all monthly and end of financial year reporting requirements.
  • Assist HR with payroll related reporting and employee statistic reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements in Australia.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, ideally MYOB, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
