Aviation Security Guard - Access Control

Position Purpose
The Protective Services Aviation Security Guard (ASG) is responsible for access control into Sterile Area (LSZ), Security Restricted Area (SRA) & Enhanced Inspection Area (EIA) at Sydney Airport for staff, stakeholders & visitors. The ASG performs operational processes and procedures, serving as the first point of contact for staff entering restricted areas. They are responsible for maintaining high standards of operational and procedural compliance, fostering effective communication and understanding while ensuring security.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the SNP Airport Protective Services Manager, Ramp Supervisor, Security 1 (AOCC), and Sydney Airport SOC to implement operational policies and procedures.
- Manage EIA vehicle entry gates.
- Maintain security of premises and property at Sydney Airport.
- Perform duties in accordance with SNP Airport Security Job Family standards.
- Provide pedestrian staff entry security services per SNP policies & SOPs, achieving security outcomes.
- Understand the Enclosed Lands Protection Act 1901 (NSW).
Qualification
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- NSW Security Industry Licence 1A/1A Provisional
- Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- NSW Driver's Licence Class C
