Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electronic Systems Technician to provide critical maintenance and upgrade of SATCOM systems for the ADF and Defence.
About the Role
* Deliver high-quality electronic component assembly, testing, tuning and integration following strict methods and procedures.
* Efficiently test and tune complex electronic circuits, including RF, digital and analogue components.
* Carefully collect and record data associated with test findings and solutions.
* Provide constructive feedback to management, engineers and peers regarding testing, processes and tools.
* Maintain quality standards through adherence to best practices.
* Support root cause analysis of failed electronic components and recommend corrective actions.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects targeting waste affecting product quality, cost, and schedule.
Requirements
* Advanced Diploma in Engineering or Electronics
* Technical trade in electronics or equivalent qualification
* IPC-A-610 or equivalent MIL-STD certification
* Able to perform work under a microscope
* Able to read technical instructions and drawings
* Able to use computers to locate and view documents
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Able to handle small and delicate parts
* Australian Citizen and compliant with ITAR regulations
* Ideally holds a current or reinstatable Defence security clearance
