Administrative Assistant ) – Department of Health, Tasmania
Join our team to support the administrative functions across our region. We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to assist the Area Manager and Regional Management Team.
The Team
OHST is a team of approximately 300 people including dentists, oral health therapists, dental prosthetists, technicians, dental assistants and administrative staff. Care is provided from 33 clinics across Tasmania, with adult services primarily from 6 major dental centres and child/adolescent services from 23 community clinics.
The Role
To ensure an efficient flow of information to and from the relevant region, the Administrative Assistant provides high‑level administrative support and advice to the Area Manager and Regional Management Team by performing human resources, finance and administrative functions to support the business operations of the region.
Responsibilities

* Perform human resources, finance and administrative functions to support business operations.
* Ensure efficient flow of information for the region.
You Will Need
* Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary office management practices.
* Sound knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office suites, HR systems and financial management information systems.
* High‑level interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising with a broad range of people confidentially and sensitively.

Details of Appointment
Permanent part‑time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are subject to negotiation.
The selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‑time, part‑time and casual vacancies for a period of twelve months from the date of publication.
Salary
$66,049 to $70,993 per annum pro‑rata. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
