About the Role
This is a vital role that reports to the R&D Manager and will manage one direct report in QC. The vision for the role is that the QA Manager will lead the transformation of the QA department, by shifting from appraisal (QC) to prevention (QA). Ideally, you will be a dynamic, creative individual who is focused on efficiencies and process improvements.
Skills and Experience
Key areas include:
* Lead and manage established ISO9001 QMS and ISO 14001 EMS in alignment with the strategic direction of the business.
* Contribute to the development of new QMS and/or EMS systems and/or integrations to existing systems and to attain relevant certifications.
* Promote and enforce accountability across the organisation for quality control program requirements, including QMS, EMS and WHS.
* Lead and manage the QMS and EMS audit schedules and the Quality Incident Report systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need
* Degree qualified as an engineer ideally mechanical
* Experience in the Automotive or adjacent industries - precision component manufacturing is also desirable
* Minimum 5 years' experience in QC/QA
* Audit management and customer complaints within a manufacturing environment
* Sound understanding of lean manufacturing
* Knowledge of IATF16949 and Six Sigma methodologies would be highly regarded
* Ability to manage and lead stakeholders on transformation projects
* Be driven by data and the ability to interpret data into actionable insights
