Empower Young People to Build Skills and Thrive
We are seeking casual Youth Workers to support and empower children and young people in our Out of Home Care Programs. These programs provide a safe and nurturing environment for young people who require accommodation and are unable to live with family or foster carers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work within Individual Placement Arrangements (IPA) for 0-17 year olds, providing everyday care and supporting their growth and development.
* Support young people in Short Term Emergency Placements (STEP) for 12-17 year olds, working closely with team members to develop safety and provide holistic services.
* Participate in shift work, including sleepovers, on an "as needed" basis, with opportunities to support in our Interim Care Model (ICM) or Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) spaces depending on need.

Requirements:
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, societies, and cultures in NSW.
* Provide cultural support and advocate on behalf of Aboriginal young people and their families.
* Build strong connections with Aboriginal agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections.
Certifications and Training:
* Current Working with Children Check
* Police History Check
* First Aid Certificate
* Driver's Licence
