Job description:
Your Impact
Reporting to the Supervisor - Planning, you will play a critical role in ensuring maintenance activities are planned, resourced and executed safely and efficiently across Newmont Tanami operations.
This role is responsible for preparing detailed work plans, coordinating materials, tools and services, and ensuring all requirements are in place to deliver maintenance work with minimal disruption to operations. You will work closely with maintenance, operations and supply chain teams to optimise planning outcomes, improve reliability and support safe, compliant maintenance execution.
As part of our team, you will
• Develop and prepare detailed work orders and task lists for planned maintenance
• Coordinate materials, tools and services to ensure readiness for scheduled work
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimise work execution
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history and inspections
• Support planning for breakdown work and assist with sourcing parts and services
• Manage parts availability including requisitions, expediting and stock verification
• Identify risks, permits and safety requirements associated with planned work
• Monitor work progress and provide updates on completion, delays and issues
• Review planned versus actual costs including labour and materials
• Support compliance with safety standards, audits and regulatory requirements
Profile description:
Prerequisites for your success in this role:
* Trade qualification or experience in maintenance planning (desirable)
* Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, coordination or scheduling
* Strong understanding of maintenance processes and work management systems
* Experience using SAP or similar CMMS systems (highly regarded)
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluid and dynamic environment
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Understanding of safety systems and risk management processes
* Current Australian driver's licence
