About the Role
As the Principal Water Services Engineer, you'll provide senior technical leadership in water and sewerage engineering, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective service delivery aligned with Council's strategic objectives. You'll lead network planning, oversee infrastructure projects, and mentor operational teams to deliver excellence in water services.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning, design, construction, and maintenance of water and sewerage reticulation networks.
* Develop hydraulic models and network planning reports.
* Provide expert advice on development applications and technical submissions.
* Manage contracts, procurement, and project delivery.
* Monitor budgets and support cost-effective operations.
* Ensure compliance with water quality standards and legislation.
* Mentor and support the Reticulation Team and collaborate across departments.

What You'll Bring
Essential:
* Tertiary qualifications in civil or water engineering.
* Proven experience in water supply and wastewater systems within local government or similar.
* Strong technical writing, analytical, and hydraulic modelling skills.
* Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
* Current C Class manual driver's licence and Construction White Card.
Desirable:
* Significant post-graduate experience in a similar role.
* Experience in local government.
* Advanced leadership and motivation skills.
