This full-time, fixed-term position is available until December 2026 and is based at our vibrant Bentley campus.Salary: $102,506 - $110,061 (G07) per annum, plus 17% superannuation.About the Research Office:Our research spans across science, engineering, health, society, business, and more, aiming to balance demand-driven and researcher-driven initiatives to address societal and industrial challenges.Role Overview:This role involves developing, reviewing, negotiating, and managing research and commercial contracts. You will support the Team Lead in fostering a values-led culture that emphasizes high-quality, efficient, and strategic contractual services. You will gain exposure to a variety of university research activities, from project management to commercial agreements.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert advice on contracts and commercial matters to support risk management and decision-making.Draft, review, and negotiate research, consultancy, and service contracts.Represent Curtin in external negotiations with partners and funders.Promote a positive culture by role modeling Curtin’s values and behaviors.Lead the development of training and knowledge-sharing resources for stakeholders.Collaborate with internal university service providers.Qualifications and Experience:Experience in legal or commercial contract development, negotiation, and management.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Ability to interpret policies and provide professional advice to diverse stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Analytical skills to assess complex situations and offer practical solutions.Experience in research administration within a tertiary institution is desirable.Role Requirements:Current work rights in Australia for the contract duration.Successful candidates will undergo police clearance and background checks.About Curtin University:We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds.
